Bravely Default II Bard Job Guide

Among the support-focused Jobs found in Bravely Default II, the Bard is definitely among the most useful. What this Jobs lacks in damage potential, it more than makes up for it with its buffing abilities that can turn even the most difficult battle into a walk in the park.

Here’s everything there is to know about the Bard Job in Bravely Default II.

Overview

The Bard Job is as straightforward as it can get as its main focus is supporting allies with a variety of buffs. While all of its abilities have their uses, depending on the situation, there are a few that stand out, like Born Entertainer, which improves the effects of all Singing abilities depending on the enemies level, and Hurts So Bad, a great damage buff that works on the entire party. Step into the Spotlight is also a very useful ability if you have a Vanguard in your party, as it makes sure enemies do target the tank, leaving the rest of your party free to deal damage.

Special Abilities

The two Specialities buff the Bard’s Singing abilities quite a bit. Extended Outro makes the effect of all Singing abilities last one turn longer, while Encore, learned at Job Level 12, grants a 25% chance of another Singing ability getting triggered.

The Battle Hymn Special ability is a pure damage buff that increases physical and magical attack for three turns while granting a 15% aim bonus. To use this ability, you must use Singing abilities 12 times.

The Bard is not a damage-dealing Job, so all of its abilities are geared toward support.
