Burger Shop 2 Is a Casual Time-management Game with an Intriguing Story

If you’re one of the millions of mobile gamers who played the original Burger Shop, you probably felt pretty pleased with yourself after building a catering empire through the sheer force of your time-management skills.

Well guess what. It was all for nothing. You’ve just woken up in a dumpster with an aching head, and your diner is boarded up. D’oh!

At least, that’s the reality that will confront you when you boot up Burger Shop’s eagerly awaited sequel, Burger Shop 2. You’re back at the bottom, and you need to work your way to the top again.

This means serving food. Lots of food – more than 100 different kinds. These food items enter the screen at the top and make their way along a conveyor belt towards the bottom, where a row of hungry customers is waiting.

At first, you only serve the basics: burgers, fries, and the like. But pretty soon your boundless ambition will see you dishing up everything from pizza to waffles, pasta to pancakes, ice cream sundaes to salads.

You need to prepare these dishes in a variety of ways, too. Burgers have to be made up from their constituent parts, while fries need to be fetched from the fryer, meaning you have to stay on your toes constantly.

Meanwhile, as you make your way through the campaign you’ll gradually learn more and more about how you came to wake up in a dumpster with nothing to your name except a sharp cranial pain.

It’ll take you a while to uncover the whole truth, however. There are 120 Story Levels in Burger Shop 2, along with a further 120 Expert Levels. And if you don’t feel like progressing the story you can dip into the Challenge and Relax modes too.

Burger Shop 2 is available right now on Google Play and the App Store in both free and Deluxe editions – with the latter costing you $1.99. Get the game on Google Play (Free or Deluxe) or from the App Store (Free or Deluxe)
