Can Alolan Vulpix Be Shiny in Pokemon Legends Arceus? – Answered

Pokemon Legends Arceus, like previous entries in the series, allows players to obtain Shiny variants of many of the available Pokemon. This has actually become easier to do than ever before, thanks to some new mechanics introduced for the first time in the new game.

Not all Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus, however, can be Shiny, as a few of them are Shiny-locked, with no way to change this condition. Is Alolan Vulpix among them? Let’s find out.

Can Alolan Vulpix Be Shiny in Pokemon Legends Arceus?

All Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus that can be found in the fields all over the Hisui region can be Shiny, but those that can only be obtained by completing a specific mission or request are Shiny and size locked. This is the case with Alolan Vulpix, as this Pokemon can only be obtained by completing the Snow-White Vulpix in the Snow request. Because of this, Alolan Vulpix cannot be Shiny in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

While it is not possible to get a Shiny Alolan Vulpix right now, it doesn’t mean that it will not be possible in the future. As Game Freak is clearly not done with the game yet, a future update may make it possible for these request-exclusive Pokemon to become available in the field, thus making their Shiny variants available as well.
