Can you Catch a Shiny Buzzwole in Pokémon Go?

The Ultra Beasts, first debuting in Pokémon Sun & Moon, made their Pokémon Go debut last year. These Pokémon are extra-dimensional and come from another dimension simply known as Ultra Space.

In terms of Pokémon Go, the Ultra Beasts are similar to the other legendary Pokémon, as they will appear periodically in Gyms as potential raids. Instead of normal raids however, Ultra Wormholes tear open, and one of the Ultra Beasts spawns from it.

One of the more infamous Ultra Beasts is Buzzwole, a Bug/Fighting dual-type who looks like a bug that lived its entire life at the gym. Just look at the muscles on this dude—it’s no wonder that it’s a fan-favorite amongst Trainers.

Defeating Buzzwole in Ultra Wormhole raid gives you a chance to catch it, and if you manage to nab one, be sure to check out some of the best moves for it.

So, the burning question is if any of the Ultra Beasts have shiny forms in Pokémon Go yet. Unfortunately, the answer is a resounding no—none of the Ultra Beasts, Buzzwole included, have their shiny forms in Pokémon Go yet.

Of course, intrepid Trainers have already looked into the game’s files, and the good news is that textures for the Ultra Beasts’ shiny forms have been discovered. If you haven’t seen Buzzwole’s shiny form yet, check it out:

Kind of getting some Cell vibes from Dragon Ball Z, no? Anyways, now that the textures are in the game, this effectively means that the shiny forms will hopefully be released some time soon. Keep an eye on the in-game news for announcements, and in the mean time, train up your Pokémon to fight Buzzwole!

We hope that answers your questions about Buzzwole being shiny in Pokémon Go. If you have any other questions or comments about Buzzwole, let us know in the comments below!
