Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released last month after much fanfare and hype. It is the latest installment in the Pokémon series and takes a much different turn than its predecessors do in terms of storytelling and game mechanics.
The game takes place in the ancient Hisui region, which would become modern-day Sinnoh. Fighting and capturing Pokémon is drastically different with battles taking place on the overworld instead of turn-based instance battles, as was the staple of the series thus far.
Due to a lot of new features being added, players are now a little bit confused regarding the changing of their trainer card photo. Would it be possible to change it mid-game?
Trainer Card Photo
The Trainer Card Photo feature was added to the franchise quite some time ago. It allowed players the option to customize their own pictures and add them to their trainer card, allowing for greater personalization to their characters.
In other Pokémon games in the franchise, customization options did vary to an extent. Pokémon UNITE added a lot of features for customization such as editing poses and zooming and background changes, while the older games from Gen 3 and earlier had absolutely no options to customize anything on the trainer card.
But what about Pokémon Legends: Arceus? Is customization possible in any way?

Unfortunately, changing the Trainer Card Photo is not possible in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, despite the presence of a Photography Studio. Whether this was an intentional design flaw or something the creators intended to add in a later update, we are not yet sure of.
If the developers decide to add a way to change the Trainer Card Photo in the game as an update, as always, we will keep you notified!
