Can You Get Shiny Spiritomb in Pokemon Legends: Arceus? – Answered

This Ghost / Dark type Pokemon has been a fan-favorite ever since its release in the original Generation 4 games, Diamond and Pearl, so you can bet your Pokemon-catching butt that it makes its appearance in Pokemon Legends: Arceus as well.

And what’s even more good news, is that you can get a shiny Spiritomb for yourself as well! You’ll just need to shiny hunt for it during its static encounter. However, getting to face it in its static encounter isn’t the simplest task.

How to Get Shiny Spiritomb in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

You need to first accept the Request “Eerie Apparitions in the Night.” This Request has you meet an NPC named Vessa, who gives you an Odd Keystone and tasks you with finding and collecting 107 Wisps found all across Hisui.

Needless to say, obtaining every single Wisp is going to take a lot of time, as they will be found hidden in caves, grasslands, and various corners of the overworld. But this is the most crucial step needed in order to begin shiny hunting for Spiritomb.

Once you have gotten all 107 Wisps collected in the Odd Keystone, head back to Jubilife Village and speak to Vessa, which will complete the quest she tasked you with. She will then ask you to come meet her at Shrouded Ruins, during the night.

When you see her there next to the large version of the Odd Keystone, speak to her, after which she will give you the actual final Wisp, the 108th one. Vessa will then disappear. Now, touch the large Odd Keystone to encounter Spiritomb and have the chance to capture it.

After capturing the Spiritomb, what you need to do is head back to Jubilife Village and save your game during the night. Now, head back to where you encountered and caught the Spiritomb at the large Odd Keystone in Shrouded Ruins.

Here, you have a 0.8% chance to encounter a Spiritomb, and a 0.4% chance to encounter an Alpha Spiritomb. These encounters have a chance to be shiny encounters. This makes the chance that you will come across a Shiny Spiritomb abysmally low, even if you’ve maxed out your shiny odds, but this is the only way we know how to encounter a Shiny Spiritomb so far.
