When our sister website, Dot Esports, reached out to Larian Studios for a comment, they replied, “It’s designed to play like D&D where, if you want to play a campaign together, you begin and continue the campaign to the end.”

So, if you want to play Baldur’s Gate 3 without any interruption or getting stuck in the game, playing solo is the best option. And that is why we mentioned earlier that the best way to experience Baldur’s Gate 3 is solo.

That being said, if you want to play Baldur’s Gate 3 with your friends, you can create two campaigns, one for solo play and the other for multiplayer. Doing so allows you to progress the game even when your friends are not there to play, and once your party is online, you can hop into the other campaign.

If you worry about playing the same thing twice, you must know that Baldur’s Gate 3 has around 17,000 unique endings. Every decision in the game has some sort of effect, with major ones shaping the ending.
