And although a lot of players would love to turn off these battle animations in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, currently there’s no way of turning off this feature in the game. The game doesn’t provide players with a workaround to stopping the battle animations either, which forces them to fully participate in a battle and watch a Pokémon use their moves on them.

However, there are certain settings that you can toy around with in the game that might decrease the time you spend on a menu. To try these, go to the Options category in your Main Menu and play around with the Text Speed, see if a Pokémon can Skip Move Learning and others.

Also, if it’s your first time playing the game, then you can skip the cutscenes especially if you’re going through the game more than once, or if you’ve played through a particular area and you want to repeat it.

As aforesaid, it’s frustrating for a lot of players that are not able to turn off the game’s battle effects, especially those who are used to playing other mainline Pokémon games that allow them to customize some of these effects.

Ultimately, it’s not looking like there’s going to be a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet update that’ll add the option to remove battle animations anytime soon, so unless some kind of unofficial mod comes into play, there’s currently no way of turning off the game’s battle animations.
