Can You Use the Leg Strap Accessory to Play Football in Nintendo Switch Sports?

The accessory, however, would be perfect to play regular football as well. Is it possible to do so already in Nintendo Switch Sports? Let’s find out.

Can You Use the Leg Strap Accessory to Play Football in Nintendo Switch Sports?

As of May 2022, the Leg Strap accessory cannot be used to play any sport in Nintendo Switch Sports outside of the already mentioned Shoot-Out mode, so even regular football cannot be played with the accessory.

Thankfully, it won’t be like this for long, as Nintendo confirmed that a free update will be released for the game that will make the Leg-Strap accessory compatible with regular football games. A precise launch date for this update has yet to be announced, but it shouldn’t be too far off in the future, considering Summer is right behind the corner.

In the meantime, if you feel like playing with the regular Joy-Cons doesn’t make Nintendo Switch Sports too immersive, you can get a few third-party accessories that will make you feel more part of this incredibly fun game!
