The game is going to be available for only $4.99 starting today. The deal is going to last for the whole Valentine’s Day weekend so if you’re along with nothing better to do, it may be a good idea to spend this day with Mickey Mouse and this excellent platform game.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse is the remake of the classic platform game released on Sega Genesis. The remake, developed by Sega Studios Australia, features a 2.5 gameplay with 3D graphics. The game manages to capture the spirit of the original game quite nicely, also thanks to the fact that the original director of the game, Emiko Yamamoto, has supervised this new release.

Even if you have played the original game, you will still be able to enjoy the new game, thanks to the all new layouts, puzzles and enemies. Boss battles have also been changed and improved. The Castle can now be explored, with new areas opening up depending on the number of gems collected. Among optional contents are a few collectibles which will allow gamers to purchase new outfits for Mickey.
