Collection Of Mana Trademark Hints At Secret Of Mana Collection Western Release

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Last year, Square Enix released a Secret of Mana collection in Japan on Nintendo Switch, including the first three entries in the series. The collection has yet to be released in North America and Europe, but it seems like things are going to change soon.

The Japanese publisher recently trademarked, as reported by Gematsu, Collection Of Mana in Japan, which is actually an interesting filing, as the Secret of Mana series is known as Seiken Densetsu in the East. This could mean that this Collection Of Mana could include some new content not seen in the previously released collection.

As already mentioned, the Secret of Mana Collection released last year in Japan includes the original Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3. It’s been speculated that the collection has failed to release in the West due to the fact that Seiken Densetsu 3 has never been localized officially.

If the Collection Of Mana is indeed coming West, it would mark the official North American and European debut of the third entry in the series, which was released during the late SNES era.
