Cut The Rope 2 New Update Removes In-App Purchases For Secret Stages

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Cut The Rope 2 has just received a brand new update. The new features included in the update will make all fans of the game quite happy as it actually removes one of the most controversial features of the new game.

Before the update the only way to unlock secret levels was through in-app purchases, which was quite unfair. Following the update you will be able to unlock these secret stages with both medals and clover leafs.

Zeptolab definitely decided to do the right thing here, considering how many fans have been displeased by their design choice. This also proves that things can change if people are vocal enough about such controversial practices.

Cut The Rope 2 features a different setting than in the previous games, as Om Nom travels outside his box during his new adventure, something that he never did before.

The game’s mechanics have also been improved, mechanics that take advantage of the new stages’ design to make a really compelling experience.

Ironically, the worst thing about the game were the in-app purchases which cheapened the whole experience. Now that the new update has changed how special stages are unlocked, there’s really no reason to pass on this game, especially if you’re a fan of the previous releases.

Cut The Rope 2 is now available for download on the App Store.
