Dead Rain 2 is all about quick reflexes and making your gear is up to snuff for the challenges ahead. We will help you take care of all that in our Dead Rain 2 cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Aim for the weakspots!

In some of the early levels you will notice some trees that are blocking you way with a glowing turquoise spot. The game will point out that these glowing spots are actually weak spots, and they must be shot in order to destroy the trees.

This concept also applies to enemies – some of the bigger enemies that you come across have a ton of health, but they go down much faster if you can hit their weak points.

Some of these enemies require a little more dexterity to hit their weak spots. For example, the giant zombies that try to tackle you have their weak spots in their head. You will need to jump in order to hit their heads!

Complete the quests!

On the main menu, you can access your quest lists. Quests are divided into four categories: mission, hunt, collect, and challenge. Mission quests are essentially the main line of quests, as these quests will lead you down the general progression path.

Hunt quests will ask you to take out a certain amount of neemies, while collect quests ask you to gather up a bunch of different items.

Challenge quests are a little different, as they are side missions that must be taken on actively. They are worth doing though – in fact, everything is worth doing! All of these quests reward you with purple, red, and yellow gems, so try to do as many of them as possible.

Use your runes!

Runes are special gems that can enhance your base stats. You have six rune slots that unlock as you progress through the story, so try to get as far as you can to use as many runes as possible.

Take note that certain slots are glowing colors: these slots are special and can enhance the power of the runes placed within. If you want to amplify a certain rune, be sure to put it in the correct slot!

Find all the stars!

Each level has three stars for you to find (with an extra fourth star unlocking later in the game), and you should try to find as many as you can. These stars can be spent toward unlocking new perks and skills for your survivor, which will increase your chances of surviving this nightmare. Make sure to explore each nook and cranny of the levels to find all of the stars!

Level-up gear before your upgrade!

Gear can be leveled up using precious red gems, which increases its maximum potential. If you are interested in upgrading a piece of gear, you should level it up before you upgrade it, because upon level up gear will lose all of its upgrades. Be efficient with your resources to survive longer!
