Despite its focus on loot, Diablo II Resurrected is still a role-playing game at heart. As such, you will have to customize your character’s attributes upon level up, and doing so properly will ensure your character will be able to reach its full potential and become strong enough to take on the Nightmare and Hell modes.
Here’s everything you need to know about the attributes in Diablo II Resurrected.
Diablo II Resurrected All Attributes Explained
Diablo II Resurrected features seven different attributes – Vitality, Strength, Dexterity, Stamina, Energy, Life and Mana. Not all of these attributes can be enhanced directly, however, as you can only improve Vitality, Strength, Dexterity, and Energy. These stats can be leveled up with the attribute points you receive at level up. You get 5 points every time your level increases.
Vitality
Vitality regulates both Stamina and Life. The higher this stat is, which can be improved upon level up, the higher the other two attributes will be.
Strength
Strength determines the actual physical strength of your character. As such, it influences the items you can equip (the higher the strength, the heavier the gear can be), and how much damage your character can deal with close-range weapons.
Dexterity
Dexterity, just like strength, determines the damage you can do with weapons. While Strength determines the damage done with close-range weapons, Dexterity affects the damage done with long-range weapons like Bows. Additionally, Dexterity influences how effective you are at blocking attacks with your shield.
Stamina
Stamina determines how much you can run. The higher the value, the longer it will take for the Stamina bar to get depleted.
Energy
The Energy attribute determines the amount of Mana your character has.
Life
Life represents your character’s Hit Points. Once depleted, your character will die.
Mana
Mana represents your character’s ability to cast spells. Once depleted, it will be impossible for your character to use magic.
