Sons of the Forest is a survival game from Endnight Games and the sequel to the popular 2018 The Forest. Available to play on Steam, Sons of the forest has players trying to survive by crafting, building and fighting off enemies. These enemies include different types of cannibals, brutes, and mutants. Mutants are the creepy creatures usually found in caves.
Cave Enemies in Sons of the Forest
The enemies you will encounter in Sons of the Forest are types of creepy mutants. These include the following:
- Twins: a male and female who are physically connected. These mutants are sneaky and quiet so watch your back.. They can crawl along walls and ceilings.
- Sluggy: a slug-like mound of flesh and bone type creature who can squeeze into small spaces. They may be slow but they like to block your way when you are trying to get through.
- Fingers: these creatures’ weakness is their lower limbs so focus there to stun and eventually defeat them. They can find players though echolocation, and are usually around during later stages of the game.
- Demon: found in lava caves with their limbs joined at the hands or feet so they move about like animals. Like Fingers they are found later in the game.

The enemies found in caves do actually respawn after 10 to 15 minutes. if you clear an area, and then return about 15 minutes later, you will find that the enemies have returned! It is random though and they may spawn with fewer creatures than before.
