Does Infinite Craft Save Progress? – Infinite Craft AI System & Game, Explained

Does Infinite Craft save your progress? How does it even work? Does it use AI? – You’ll get the answer to all these questions and several more in this article!

The game that’s taken the internet by storm these past weeks is simply named Infinite Craft, and boy oh boy isn’t that name a perfect fit for it. With so many possible outcomes and recipes, Infinite Craft appears to be a sort of modern internet dictionary comprised of all the imaginable words and even some beyond imagination.

Due to that, ever since its release, some players have been reticent about closing their browsers for fear of losing their progress. But I am here to help put your mind at ease because I will answer some of the hottest topics regarding this game. Let’s start with the beginning:

Does Infinite Craft Save My Progress?

The answer is yes – Infinite Craft saves your progress automatically on the browser that you play. It does not transfer progress from your PC to your phone and otherwise though, so you cannot play it cross-platform.

Does Infinite Craft Work on Mobile?

Of course it does! You can play it from any browser I believe, the only difference is that it will not allow you to create duplicates. On Mobile, Infinite Craft will highlight the result of any two elements, and if you don’t have it yet, it will create it for you.

It will also be impossible for you to arrange the crafted results, so if that’s more your thing (or just crafting multiples), you should stick to playing the game in a browser on your PC or laptop.

How to Reset Progress in Infinite Craft

If you want to reset all of your progress (all the recipes you crafted so far), then check on the bottom left corner of the screen. You will see the “Reset” button. This button appears on mobile as well, also on the bottom left corner of the screen.

Can I play Infinite Craft in Dark Mode?

Once again, the answer is yes! Check our step-by-step tutorial on how to play Infinite Craft in Dark Mode, no matter what browser you’re using!

Does Infinite Craft Use AI?

Infinite Craft indeed uses AI. The game is based on the Llama large language model, which is open-source and free for commercial use at the moment. It is thanks to this and Together.ai that we get witty results such as “Captain Planet Pizza Punch” and “Sailor Furiosa”.

While Neal Agarwal said that, it is “not quite as smart” as ChatGPT, I’d argue that he made it work in a very unique way.

You can check out Neal’s personal X account, where he sometimes posts updates about Infinite Craft and other games he’s working on:

Is There an End in Infinite Craft?

Sadly, aside from the word “End” (which I assume is in the game), there seems to be no such thing. Since generative AI can constantly mix, match, mix, and match all sorts of new words, it’s close to impossible to reach the end. At least, without losing it.

Of course, thinking about it scientifically, there should be an end. Since there are just so many words available in the English language (according to Google, about 170,000 words), and if we add about 30,000 more made-up words, memes, internet slag, and oddities, I believe the most we could get is 500,000 combinations. Don’t quote me on that though, I might be wrong.

However!

If we can craft any number, the game could continue to infinity.

I have been playing games ever since I can remember. My passion for video games and especially pixel graphic games must have started back when I was little, because every time I try a new game with pixel graphics I immediately fall addicted to it! I started writing about mobile games in November 2018, focusing on creating in-depth guides for the most popular titles out there. Other than games, I am also passionate about design, and working on my very own pixel game in my free time.
