The Minimap HUB mod adds a small minimap in the corner of your screen. Gone are the days of having to stop in the middle of exploring every couple of seconds just to see your position on the map!
The minimap is fully customizable, too. You can adjust the size of the minimap, move it to a different corner, and even change how fast it updates.

Combined Status

The Combined Status mod expands your HUD elements in the top right corner. In addition to having exact numerical values for every stat like your hunger, health, and sanity, Combined Status shows you elements that you do not normally see, like temperature, season, and time.
Although some consider this to be a little overpowered, we appreciate the convenience. Normally, you have to build stuff like the Rainometer and Thermal Measurer to see weather-related details, but this mod lets you see it all right away.
Craft Pot

The Crock Pot allows you to make a variety of delicious meals that are more effective and fill your belly, but it can be kind of overwhelming due to the number of recipes in Don’t Starve.
The Craft Pot mod makes cooking much easier by adding a recipe list that adapts to whatever you put inside the Crock Pot. You do not need to memorize recipes or have the wiki open anymore, as this mod makes cooking a breeze.
Geometric Placement

This one is for all the builders out there. Don’t Starve lets you build objects loosely, as they do not need to align with any kind of grid. Building loosely like this is fine, but over time, it can lead to some messy bases.
The Geometric Placement mod enables you to build with a grid in mind if you prefer that. You can now enable a building grid that lets you snap objects in place, letting you line up things neatly.
Item Info

The Item Info mod allows you to see an item’s details upon mousing over it. You can see the durability and damage reduction of armor, attack power of weapons, the amount of hunger and sanity restored by food items, and so forth.
Most importantly, this mod also allows you to see the exact time an item is will spoil. You can manage your food supplies more efficiently with this mod, and hopefully not starve!
Simple Health Bar

The Simple Health Bar adds floating health bars over all players and enemies in the game, so you know how close you are to taking down a monster, which is very helpful for boss encounters.
Despite the name of the mod, these health bars can be customized to be very detailed, or you can keep them simple if you like.
Global Positions
Creators: Sarcen, rezecib

This one is for Don’t Starve Together only. Normally, when you are playing multiplayer with friends, nearby players are marked on your HUD. This is fine… except for when your friends get really far away, at which point their markers disappear, and you have no idea where they are.
The Global Positions mod makes it so that other players’ markers never disappear from your screen. The further you are away from them, the smaller the markers get, but they never disappear from the screen completely. The mod also shows player positions on the full-screen map. Useful for keeping track of your rascally friends!
These are some of the best mods you can get to enhance both your single player and multiplayer Don’t Starve experience. Have a favorite mod not listed here? Let us know what it is in the comments below!
