We absolutely love playing Dragalia Lost and have done so since its launch. And today we’re going to talk about a really important element of the game and share a complete guide to weapons in Dragalia Lost.
It seems that we’re not the only ones loving the game, since it was recently reported that the game made Nintendo $3 million richer in just 5 days after being launched. This means that a lot more people than just us are playing the game, and they’re probably just as interested in a Dragalia Lost guide to weapons.
So let’s not waste a single second and learn everything there is to be learned about the weapons in the game, including weapon crafting in Dragalia lost, upgrading, enhancing and so on.
Dragalia Lost: Weapon Crafting
The easiest way to get the most powerful weapons in the game is to craft early and craft often. Although it will take you a lot of time to do it, 3 star weapons can be upgraded and enhanced into elemental weapons if you’re dedicated enough – so that’s where you should start.
In order to craft weapons in the game, you need a Smithy and the higher its level, the better the potential weapons crafted. Your main focus should be that of bringing your Smithy to level 4, which allows you to create 4-star weapons and they offer a lot more value than the 3-star ones.
In order to upgrade your weapons and have them reach their full potential, you will need additional copies of themselves. This is done through the Unbinding feature of the game, where you basically sacrifice a weapon of the same type to increase the level cap of the main weapon.
So this is another reason for you to focus on Crafting and micro-manage your weapons, always keeping for later the weapons you want to improve.
Dragalia Lost: Upgrading and Enhancing Weapons
Weapons are natively better depending on their starting star rating, but you also have to level them up and then enhance them in order to truly make them legendary.
The weapons leveling up process in Dragalia Lost is the easiest one to do: you can either use Whetstones that are special items to be used solely for this, or you can use unneeded weapons as a base material to improve your best. Just have in mind not to accidentally consume duplicated when leveling up your weapons, because those are needed for Unbinding.
By default, you won’t be allowed to use the same weapon type as upgrading material – but if for some reason your main weapon is a different one than what you’re currently leveling up, be extra careful not to use duplicates of it. Also make sure not to use unbound weapons (unless you really no longer need them).
Once your weapon reaches the maximum possible level, it’s time for you to Enhance it. This will make your weapon even more powerful by adding skills to it. You have various options when Enhancing your weapon and you will have to select the element you want to continue with, which will in turn affect the skills your weapons are getting.
Enhancing weapons is a lengthy process which increases in difficulty as the rarity of your weapons increases, so make sure that you plan your moves ahead for a little bit in order to optimize the process.
Have in mind that you should always try to match your character’s element with that of the weapon in order to get an additional damage boost.
However, even though in the long term the enhanced weapons are obviously more powerful than their base version, you will see initially a power drop after going through this process, as a level 1 enhanced weapon is less powerful than a max level weapon of the same kind (but not enhanced).
Note: This might not be the case of 5 star weapons as we haven’t done that enhancement. Yet. We’ll update this article when we do, although there’s no obvious reason why things would change for 5 star rarity…
This would be our guide to the Dragalia Lost weapons and it should be enough to help you get the best weapons for your adventure. If you need some more generic advice, we also have a tips and tricks article waiting for you – make sure to check it out as well!
