During the Frieza Saga in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Goku and his friends will realize that they are definitely not on the same power level as many of Frieza’s henchmen. While these fights can get intense, however, it is possible to emerge victorious with a solid strategy, no matter how you have customized your playable characters.
Here’s how to take down one of these annoying henchmen, Dodoria.
How to Defeat Dodoria in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Dodoria is fought twice during the Frieza Saga, the first time by Gohan with Krillin as support and the second one by Vegeta. If you have had an easy time up until now, Dodoria may be the first boss to give you some trouble due to some of its attacks.
The two short-range techniques used by Dodoria, Head Ram and Crushing Fist, not only deal a lot of damage, but they are also more difficult to dodge than usual. The first one sees Dodoria closing the distance with a powerful charge attack, while the second can knock you down if it hits. Both can be dodged, but only if you dodge right at the last second. If you dodge too early, you will be caught in the attack. After dodging these attacks properly, you can go on the offensive for a short while, so make these hits count.
Dodoria’s long-range attacks are considerably easier to avoid. Maximum Buster is preceded by a marker that indicated its range, while the Super Mouth Cannon is slow enough that you can prepare before the attack goes off.
Dodoria can require more than a few tries to beat. Practice your dodges, and he will not be able to stand in your way for long!
