During the Cell Saga in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the Androids proved to be fearsome enemies, but they cannot compare in terms of power with Cell. As the three years of training weren’t enough to attain the level of power needed to take down Cell, Goku proposes to start training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where his son will have to go past his limits and become the powerful warrior that he is meant to be.
For Gohan to become such, however, he will have to defeat his father. Here’s all you need to know to defeat Goku.
How to Defeat Goku (Hyperbolic Time Chamber) in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Goku is fought once inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in the Cell Saga. You will control Gohan in this fight, and you will have to pay attention to Goku’s attack patterns in order to win.
Goku takes this training fight very seriously, as he will be aggressive at all times and break out of your combos very easily. As such, you will need to unleash only a few regular combo attacks without committing to finishers, otherwise, you will risk getting hit by a Kamehameha or Ultimate Scissors Paper Rock, which hits three times and deals a lot of damage.
Avoiding these two special attacks isn’t too difficult if you are prepared. If Goku is unleashing either a Guided Kamehameha or Super Kamehameha, dodge to the side and retaliate quickly with Masenko. If he unleashes Ultimate Scissors Paper Rock, block it if you’re close to Goku, otherwise, try to get as far as possible to make him miss.
By repeating these simple offensive and defensive strategies, you will be able to take down Goku without too many issues. It may take some time, though, so patience is key for winning this fight.
