How to Defeat Trunks in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Trunks is the second boss you will fight in the Cell Saga. You will fight him with Goku, and he can be quite challenging to take down, given how powerful his attacks are and how quickly he breaks out of combos.

Generally, it’s better to fight Trunks from a distance, as most of his special attacks are close-range, hard-hitting ones that can track Goku for a short distance. He breaks out of combos fairly easily, so you should unleash just a couple of combo attacks, or a single short-range special attack and get away from him.

Trunks’ recovery from attacks is also quite short, so it can be difficult to find an opening. Focus on launching basic Ki attacks as often as you can, and then try to guard the Shining Sword Attack to leave him open for a short while.

With a little patience and good defense, you will soon be able to defeat Trunks and learn of the Androids and the danger they represent.
