Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot: How to Escape from Battle

Goku and his friends never shy away from a good challenge in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, but there are times when it is just wiser to run so as to live to fight another day. Or just to avoid having to take down some more generic mobs, as even the easiest random encounter can take a few minutes to complete, which is something that dampens the game’s pace considerably.

Thankfully, it is possible to escape from most battles in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Here’s how to.

How to Escape from Battle in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Every time you interact with an enemy on the field in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, you will have to fight it. In case you have interacted with it by mistake, or if you simply do not want to fight a particular enemy, you have the option of escaping from all random encounters. To do so, all you need to do is fly away from the enemy: press the left stick to look away from the enemy, and continue flying away until the game confirms you have escaped. You can use Boost Flight to make the escaping process faster.

While you can run away from random encounters in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot using this method, you cannot escape from mandatory boss battles, so make sure you are always prepared for the challenges ahead, as there is no way to run from the most powerful enemies you will have to face at certain points in the story.
