The game is part of a huge Square Enix sale which is offering several Final Fantasy games and more for reduced prices. Thanks to this sale, Dragon Quest VIII is now available for $12.99 instead of the full $19.99 price.

Dragon Quest VIII is the first Dragon Quest iOS port to get released in the West. Despite the obvious differences with the original PlayStation 2 release, Dragon Quest VIII iOS holds up incredibly well, offering the full gameplay experience of the game developed by Level-5.

The latest entry of the series to get released on the App Store in the West is Dragon Quest III, the third entry of the series originally released on Nintendo NES years ago. As we have noted in our review of the game, Dragon Quest III is an excellent old school role playing game sporting some advanced features that make it a good play even for those who have only played more recent RPGs.

Dragon Quest VIII is now available for a reduced price on the App Store. This deal won’t be available for long so make sure to take advantage of it as soon as possible.
