As a continuation of the celebrated football series, eFootball 2024 introduces new players, mechanics, and more. If you’re a football video game fan, and you’re looking for the next big football game to sink your teeth into, look no further. However, you may be more familiar with this series than you think, so here is everything you need to know about eFootball 2024.

eFootball‘s 2024 season officially starts on September 7, 2023. Although we’re not quite into 2024 yet, there is a reason for this, and we’ll explain everything. You see, eFootball is the technical reboot of Konami’s signature football video game series, Pro Evolution Soccer.

Pro Evolution Soccer was renamed to eFootball all the way back in 2021. The reason for this is that Konami no longer wanted to do separate yearly releases, similar to Electronic Arts’ Madden series. Instead, they relabeled Pro Evolution Soccer to eFootball, and their plan is to support the same game with yearly updates. As such, the yearly updates begin a bit before the actual new year arrives, similar to yearly sports games.

The biggest change to come with this transformation is that eFootball is free-to-play. You can purchase premium currency in the in-game shops of course, and it will allow players to recruit new players and obtain new customization options.

So, since eFootball is already technically released, you can start up the game at any time. The 2024 season has just started, so new players can jump in on the action and get accustomed to how the game works.

To celebrate the new season, there’s a whole campaign centered around completing missions to earn sweet rewards. The campaign is focused on new players, so if you’ve never tried out eFootball, now is the perfect time to jump in.
