Elden Ring is an exciting open-world RPG with endless possibilities for its players. Although the game has a storyline, there are a lot of options on how to go through it. The game gives players the choice between several classes and in this guide we want to tell you about one of them, namely the Prisoner.
Elden Ring Best Prisoner Build and Guide
At the very beginning, it is worth noting that the Elder Ring game has a truly free world for players. After all, even choosing a certain class, you will not be blocked from other weapon options, the ability to choose a certain skill or armor. You still have freedom in leveling and at any time you can invest experience points in anything, which gives you huge scope for experimentation.
The choice of a playable class is more of a guide that makes it easier for players to create a balanced hero.

Returning to the Prisoner class, it is worth noting that most players first pay attention to this class because of its intimidating metal helmet. This helmet is not only visually interesting but also able to protect you well during the passage of the initial locations.
It’s also not entirely correct to say that there is a better character build of a certain class, given the range of possibilities in the game.
But still, there are general recommendations that will help you create a strong Prisoner hero:
- This hero has the best ratio of Dexterity and Intelligence, namely 14 each. Thanks to this, he is a good melee warrior, as well as a spellcaster.
- We also advise you to invest a significant amount of points in intelligence to be able to use strong spells. The remaining points to invest at your discretion and need.
- During character creation, you can choose a gift. We advise you to choose Golden Seeds, as thanks to them you can get more Flasks of Azure Tears, which will help you get through the initial zones more easily.
- In terms of equipment, we recommend choosing a one-handed slashing sword. It might also be worth ditching your helmet, as it does protect, but it still weighs a lot, and because of this, you can take much less equipment.
- This class has a fairly high armor stat, but is still not the best, so it is extremely important to dodge well during combat. To do this, you need to keep the weight of your equipment at an average load level.
- If you decide to ditch the helmet anyway, you can get a a good replacement in the form of chain mailfrom the Kale merchant in the Elleh church, which will be a good start. Later, you can exchange it for Kaiden’s armor from the Rogue Riders around Limgrave.
- We also advise you to try to get any heater shields at the beginning, since at first, you will receive a lot of damage in melee combat.
A prisoner is a great class in Elder Ring, so get in the game and play this wonderful class.
