Also, if you want to learn some basic tips and tricks about the game, make sure that you take a look at our EVE Echoes game guide that we just published!

Now, since I am listing here some of the ships that I picked to be the best in the game, you might have a different opinion as many of them can be pretty good at fulfilling a role – but just check out my list and put it to good use. So without further ado, let’s dive right into the EVE Echoes list of best ships in the game!

EVE Echoes – Best Ships for mining

If you want to mine in the game, you will want to use a ship which will allow you to do that fairly easy – and that is, having a ship which has a pretty big cargo capacity. Also, you will need a ship which can hold a decent mining laser (try MK3 Mining Lasers for start)!

Since any ship can mine pretty much, you can use any ship – but you will want a ship which can do that way better than others, so try using one of these:

Frigate – Venture

The Venture (I, II, III) Frigate is one of the best mining ships which you can use, because of its high yield and capacity, so try to get one of those because it will be one of your best options in the game.

Venture I

Ore Hold Capacity: 30000 m³

Destroyer – Thrasher

This is another good option for mining, as it can hold pretty well (not compared to a Venture, but when compared to other non-Industrial Ships) and it is a valid option for those who cannot afford / cannot find or cannot produce Venture – or simply want an alternative to it.

Thrasher

Role Bonus: +30% Small Projectile Turret Damage, +1 Polarizer Modules Fittings

Thrasher II

Role Bonus: +50% Small Projectile Turret Damage, +1 Polarizer Modules Fittings

Warp Speed: 4.5 AU/s

Powergrid Output: 37 MW

Max Locked Targets: 6

Signature Radius: 56m

Cargo Hold Capacity: 800 m³

Destroyer – Catalyst

This is similar to the Thrashes, in the sense that it has a decent cargo and plenty of damage, so if you fit some mining lasers it will do a pretty decent job mining.

Catalyst

Role Bonus: +30% Small Hybrid Turret Damage, +1 Polarizer Modules Fittings

Small Hybrid Turret Operation Bonus per level: +10% Small Hybrid Turret Damage, +10% Small Hybrid Turret Optimal Range

Destroyer Command Bonus per level: -5% Armor Hitpoints

Warp Speed: 4.5 AU/s

Powergrid Output: 48 MW

Max Locked Targets: 7

Signature Radius: 68m

Cargo Hold Capacity: 900 m³

Frigate – Magnate

This is another good Frigate, but again – it doesn’t come anywhere close to Venture, even though it has some very good cargo capacity. It will however lack on the turret fittings side, as you can only place 2 turrets (choose which one you want better – I prefer faster mining).

Magnate

Frigate Command Bonus per level: +5% Small Energy Turret Tracking Speed

Archaeology Bonus per level: +15% Cargo Hold Capacity, -5% Inertia Modifier

Overall Defense: 892

Inertia Modifier: 2x

Flight Velocity: 350 m/s

Warp Speed: 5 AU/s

Powergrid Output: 36 MW

Max Locked Targets: 4

Signature Radius: 39m

Cargo Hold Capacity: 1000 m³

EVE Echoes – Best Ships for PvP and fighting

Now this is a more difficult topic to sum, as there are A TON of ships in the game. While all of them can be good for something (or at least almost all of them), I will list here below some of my favorites. If you have others which you like more, feel free to leave your opinions down in the comments below!

Again, these PvP ships that I will list here below and what I usually like to play with, because they fit how I like to fight in EVE Echoes! So you can have totally different preferences in terms of PvP and fighting ships.

Battleship – Armageddon

Armageddon is a fairly tanky ship which is pretty slow, but since it is a battleship, that’s how they generally are. I like it because it uses drones which you can send out to drain the enemies from a safe distance.

Large Drone Operation Bonus per level: +5% Drone DPS, +5% Drone Hitpoints

Battleship Operation Bonus per level: +5% Drone DPS, +10% Energy Nosferatu optimal range, +10% Energy Neutralizer optimal range

Destroyer Command Bonus per level: -5% Shield

Overall Defense: 35022

Inertia Modifier: 0.13x

Flight Velocity: 100 m/s

Warp Speed: 2 AU/s

Powergrid Output: 4345 MW

Max Locked Targets: 7

Signature Radius: 450m

Cargo Hold Capacity: 1200 m³

Frigate – Succubus

This is one of the strongest Frigate ships out there, not only because of its size (Succubus is quite tiny when compared to others) but because despite it being tiny, which allows it to move fairly fast, it has some super powerful weapons which shred through enemy ships.

Role Bonus: +150% Small Energy Turret Damage, +1 Force Field Defense Modules Fittings

Frigate Command Bonus per level: +200% Afterburner Velocity Bonus, +7.5% Small Energy Turret tracking speed

Advanced Frigate Command Bonus per level: +6% Shield Resistance, +15% Shield

Overall Defense: 3363

Inertia Modifier: 2.4x

Flight Velocity: 340 m/s

Warp Speed: 5 AU/s

Powergrid Output: 75 MW

Max Locked Targets: 5

Signature Radius: 33m

Cargo Hold Capacity: 270 m³

Battlecruiser – Hurricane

Hurricane is a battlecruiser which combines both mobility with firepower, which makes it quite difficult to encounter and fight against. It can hit and run pretty much, and in prolonged fights it has plenty of capacitor charge to outlast most ships.

Advanced Medium Missile Operation Bonus per level: +8% Medium Missile Explosive Damage, -8% Medium Missile activation time, +10% Medium Missile Flight Time

Advanced Battlecruiser Command Bonus per level: +20% ECM Optimal Range, +20% ECM Strength

Overall Defense: 17484

Inertia Modifier: 0.46x

Flight Velocity: 100 m/s

Warp Speed: 2.7 AU/s

Powergrid Output: 618 MW

Max Locked Targets: 6

I have been playing games ever since I can remember. My passion for video games and especially pixel graphic games must have started back when I was little, because every time I try a new game with pixel graphics I immediately fall addicted to it! I started writing about mobile games in November 2018, focusing on creating in-depth guides for the most popular titles out there. Other than games, I am also passionate about design, and working on my very own pixel game in my free time.
