Evolution Highway may not be a game that break new grounds but it’s still a fun endless runner gamer. If you’re a fan of these kind of games, you may want to take a look at it.
As in all endless runner games, you will have to know the differences between different types of enemies and obstacles as well as knowing about the different power ups.
If you don’t have the time or the will to learn about these gameplay aspects but still want to have fun with the game, all you need to do is to keep on reading!
- Enemy Types
As you might have noticed while playing the game, you will have to deal with different types of enemy dinosaurs. The flying green ones can only be defeated in the air. The red ones on the ground cannot be damaged in any way and can only be avoided. The blue ones are even bigger than the red ones and cannot be damaged. The only way to avid them is by changing platform.
- Obstacle Types
While running you’ll also meet two different types of obstacles. Just like with dinosaurs, there are different strategies to employ to avoid them. The Vortex can only be avoided by switching platforms. To avoid falling rocks, on the other hand, you will have to time your jumps accordingly. Just do it while they’re close to touching the ground to avoid them completely.
- Earning Coins
The fastest way to earn coins in the game is to complete the Vortex Mini Game and complete each level’s challenges. The Vortex can be accessed by obtaining the B-O-N-U-S. Once inside you will have to collect coins hidden inside the vortexes that will appear on screen.
Clearing challenges in each stage is a better way to get good amounts of coincs. These change often and aren’t too difficult overall so make sure to complete them as soon as you can.
- Power-Ups
Power Ups provide some good advantage during the stages. The Viking Helmet will protect you from all enemies for a limited amount of time. The Time Machine will slow time, allowing you to time your jumps better. The Coins Magnet does exactly what you may expect: draw coins towards you. The Tesla power up destroys all enemy types you encounter. The Shield protects you from all damage. The last power up, the Rocket, makes you proceed a lot faster without having to avoid any danger found in your path for a limited amount of time.
