How to Heal in Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water

Like in many other modern survival horror games, you can heal in Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water by using items. There are two different types of healing items in the game: Herbal Medicine and the Sacred Water Bottle. Both items can be found by exploring the game’s many locations, but they can also be purchased at the start of each level.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water’s only currency system is the points system, so you will need to use them to purchase the healing items described above. These points are obtained by taking pictures of ghosts with the Camera Obscura. Generally, the better the picture is, the more damage will be dealt and the more points you will earn.

Once you have enough points, you can invest 500 of them to get one Herbal Medicine container and 1000 to get the Sacred Water Bottle. To use any item, just enter the main menu, pick the Item selection and then confirm which item you want to use. Make sure to use healing items as wisely as possible to get through the game safely and experience its endings.
