Fortnite: Everything New in the Fortnitemares 2022 Update

Fortnitemares is back for 2022! This spooky season sees some locations made super spooky, some new places to visit, NPCs to fight or talk to, and zombies ready to jump out at you as you play! All New Content in Fortnitemares 2022

This year, Epic have pulled out all the stops and brought some really exciting new features and items during Fortnitemares. In some of the spookified areas of the map, zombies roam and jump out at you, ready to attack! Zombie Chickens chase players and thirst for their blood, and will eat meat from wildlife as it lays on the ground.

The changed locations are either dark and creepy or have been changed by chrome during this update. These altered locations are:

• Sleepy Sound is now Shiny Sound
• Logjam Junction is now Chromejam Junction
• The Reality Tree is now a dark dance party
• Grim Gables is now dark and mysterious, and harbours zombies and a big boss to battle- the Inkquisitor
• Willow’s Haunt can be found north west of The Reality Tree and is home to a creepy boss NPC, Willow
• Ash Williams is found at a new location west of Reality Tree, The Knowby Cabin
• The Driftwood is now floating above west of Greasy Grove
• No Sweat Insurance has moved to Shiny Sound
• The Flairship is now above Tilted Towers

There are also new and unvaulted weapons during this event. As usual, the Pumpkin Launcher is back for Fortnitemares and can be found around the map or bought from a new NPC Chrome Punk at Flutter Barn.

In every Chrome location, players can find an Alteration Altar where they can perform a ritual and obtain a unique and fun weapon – the Howler Claws. This new weapon equips the player with Wolfscent and the slash ability.

There is also a new LTM: Zero Build Horde Rush where a team of players battle hordes of zombies and try to make it to the very end. It is a serious challenge- are you ready for the ultimate battle of the undead?
