Following update 8.10, Fortnite on Nintendo Switch will no longer match players with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players in cross-play parties, so Switch players will only be able to play together with iOS and Android users.

As the Nintendo Switch version doesn’t run as smoothly as the PS4 and Xbox One versions, this decision does make sense: the different performance between the console versions led to issues during matches as well as to glitches that could be exploited by players playing the game on hardware that allows better performance.

The latest Fortnite update added plenty of new content to the game, such as the new vehicle The Baller, Vending Machines that provide things free of charge and plenty of gameplay tweaks.

Fortnite is now available on Nintendo Switch as well as on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android.
