This new Genshin Impact update is focused on Mondstadt’s Windblume Festival. Before any update goes live, Genshin Impact goes under a maintenance period for a few hours. Genshin Impact 1.4 Update Release Date and Time, and Maintenance Period

As mentioned earlier, Genshin Impact 1.4 update will release on March 17, 2021. However, players can pre-download and install the updates starting March 15, 2021(except console players).

Genshin Impact 1.3 Update maintenance began on February 3, 2021, at 06:00:00 (UTC+8), and it took a few hours till players were able to get hold of the new content.

The total maintenance time for Genshin Impact 1.2 update was around five hours long. Furthermore, the maintenance began at 06:00:00 on December 23, 2020.

As we know, the developers’ miHoYo work in a structured way. They always release updates and new content on the said schedule. So, keeping the past updates and their maintenance time in mind, we can say Genshin Impact 1.4 update maintenance will begin at 06:00:00 (UTC+8) on March 17, 2021.

[UPDATE – March 16, 2021] The official maintenance time for Genshin Impact 1.4 update is out, and it as we speculated, from – 06:00 to 11:00 (UTC+8).

Usually, as miHoYo says, the maintenance might take five hours, though that is subject to change.
