Genshin Impact Puffer Fish and Bitter Puffer Fish Location Guide

In Genshin Impact, players can get The Catch polearm specialized weapon ascension materials from the Inazuma Fishing Association in exchange for Puffer Fish, Bitter Puffer Fish, and Raimei Angelfish.

To get the weapon to Refinement LVL 5, players need:

• Puffer Fish X 40
• Bitter Puffer Fish X 40
• Raimei Angelfish X 12

The Catch is the best free-to-play polearm weapon for the Raiden Shogun. In the wake of that, many Genshin Impact players want to know the location of Fishing Spots where they can find the Puffer Fish and its rare variant, Bitter Puffer Fish.

Where to Find Puffer Fish and Bitter Puffer Fish in Genshin Impact

There are six different Fishing Spots where players can find Puffer Fish and Bitter Puffer Fish. Sometimes, you may not be able to find them at their regular spots because of the in-game time. Some fish only appear at night, whereas others appear during the daytime. 

You can use the in-game clock, accessed from Paimon’s Menu, to change the time from Night –> Day or Day –> Night.

Players can find two Fishing Spots with Puffer and Bitter Puffer Fish in the Mondstadt region.

• Outside Springvale, west of the Mondstadt City gates
• West of Dawn Winery

Liyue offers only one Fishing Spot with Puffer Fish and Bitter Puffer Fish.

• East of Liyue Harbor

Inazuma offers three Fishing Spots where players can find either Puffer Fish, Bitter Puffer Fish, or both.

• Nazuchi Beach, Kannazuka Island

• Ritou Port

• East of Seirai Island Statue of Seven
