This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

If you haven’t had enough of games mixing very different genres, you’d better keep an eye out for Glorkian Warrior: The Trials Of Gork, a platform/shooter hybrid launching later this week on the App Store.

You may think that the platform/shooter combination is not so unusual, after all. And you may be right, if you think about classic games like Megaman, Metal Slug and several others. Glorkian Warrior: The Trials Of Gork is not like these games, however, as it combines classic platforming action with shooting sequences not too different from classic shooting games like Galaga and many, many others.

From what can be seen from the trailer below, the combination seems to work incredibly well. So well that one wonders how no one thought about making a game like this up until now. The unique graphical style makes Glorkian Warrior: The Trials Of Gork even more unique and engaging: it looks so good that it would be a decent game even on modern consoles.

Glorkian Warrior: The Trials Of Gork will launch later this week on the App Store. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know about the precise release date so stay tuned for all the latest news.
