In today’s article we are going to share with you all of the Grand Mountain Adventure tips and cheats to help you explore new mountains and enjoy the cold breeze while skiing.
Grand Mountain Adventure is a truly relaxing, soothing and beautiful game which has some pretty catchy graphics and a simple play style to keep you hooked for hours. If you have been skiing at least once in your lifetime, this game will give you an unique view of that experience and let you see things from a different perspective.
Now, enough with the introductions! I will tell you what you came here for – the Grand Mountain Adventure tips and tricks!
Practice the controls!
One thing that you should definitely do is get used to the controls. This game has some amazing graphics and one thing that you should do at the very beginning of the game is take your time to explore the game and learn the controls.
The way to move is like this:
– jump: hold both left and right ski poles.
– stop: tap and drag down any ski pole.
– speed up: tap left – right continuously.
– slap: quickly tap twice (double tap) any ski pole.
– quick turn left: tap and slide to the left the left ski pole.
– quick turn right: tap and slide to the right the right ski pole.
– air spin: tap and hold left or right ski pole while in the air (jumping).
– air flip: tap and drag both of the ski poles up.
– air roll: tap and drag one ski pole up and the other one down.
I suggest to go and explore all of the slopes, try out different areas and basically have fun! It’s much better to get used to the areas and only after to actually start competing and aiming for the challenges.
After you got used to the slopes, controls and know how to quickly take turns, speed up and slow down, you’re set! Go ahead and find those challenges and nail them!
Avoid the dangers!
There are several dangers in the game that you should definitely avoid at all costs. Avalanches, trees and unfortunate falls are just some of them. The avalanches will slow you down and push you away, so if you are doing a challenge, you might find it difficult to complete it with gold medal if it happens.
Also, whenever you are bumping into a tree, skier or whatnot, it will also slow you down because it’s basically an obstacle. So… avoid them all!
Don’t miss the gates
When you are competing in a challenge you will see outlined in blue the way which you must take in order to finish that challenge. You can go outside of the blue outline, but you must go back inside before you encounter a gate because otherwise it’s a waste of challenge.
You should never miss the gates, because that’s where you basically check up your timer. It’s also good to try and speed up whenever you are next to them. It doesn’t matter if you are in air or on ground while passing through the gates, but just don’t miss them!
Failed? Start over!
If you happened to miss a gate in a challenge, just start over! It’s no use trying to go back and “get it” because the challenge is gone once you missed a gate. However, you don’t need to get all the way down to restart! Just tap on the icon in the top left corner and you’re back at the beginning!
Use the lifts to take you back up
You will often find lifts in various locations and you can use them to take you back to the top of the mountain. They are useful to speed up the process, because once you unlocked a lift, you can quickly travel straight to it. All you have to do is open the map, select the lift and press Fast Forward.
This also works for the challenges, so if you want to practice more because you failed one, or if you simply want to enjoy a good challenge, use this to cut down on time!
Explore and collect ski passes!
You can obtain ski passes and use them to unlock new lifts. Try exploring the map, and if you happen to see something gold and shiny in the snow, go to it and collect it!
