Guardian Tales Rare Heroes Tier List, Best Rare Heroes (October 2021)

Guardian Tales classifies all of its playable heroes by rarity: Normal, Rare, and Unique. Unique heroes are generally the strongest heroes in the game, but they’re also the hardest to get. Some Rare heroes are just as good as the Unique ones if you invest enough resources into them. You’ll have a lot of Rare heroes anyway because they’re easier to get, so which ones are worth using? Today, we’ll show you the best Rare heroes in our Guardian Tales Rare heroes tier list!

S Tier

Aspiring Warrior Craig

Craig is an Earth Tanker who will do anything to protect his friends. Boasting a high amount of health and defense, Craig is one of the best tanks in the game. His normal attack will taunt all nearby enemies, making it really easy for him to grab aggro. He can also boost the party’s defense with Battle Cry.

Innuit Girl Coco

Coco is a Water Ranged hero who will shred foes with shards of ice. She’s naturally resistant to fire, and she can pelt enemies with her ice shards that reduce their defense. On top of that, Hail lets her shower groups of enemies with ice, dealing lots of damage while reducing their attack. Her powerful ice shards and debuffs make Coco an excellent Ranged hero.

Mad Scientist Gremory

Gremory is a Dark Ranged hero who wants to experiment on everything. She attacks by throwing mysterious concoctions at her enemies, reducing their defense when hit. Dangerous Experiment unleashes a powerful mixture that inflicts foes with a number of status conditions while reducing their attack by a moderate amount.

Princess Aisha

Aisha is a Light Support hero who excels at boosting her party’s morale. Her normal attack slices and dices enemies while moderately boosting the team’s attack. Taking Lead lets Aisha rally her party into battle, greatly boosting their attack power.

Pirate Rachel

Rachel is a Water Ranged hero who blasts foes with her trademark rifle. She can deal consistent damage over time with her normal attacks, and Bombardment gives her some nice AoE damage. She can also deal more damage the longer she avoids taking damage, making her deadly in the right hands.

Red Hood Elvira

Elvira is a Fire Ranged hero that also uses rifles. She attacks using explosive apples, and they’re a lot more deadly than they sound. Great Explosion gives her an AoE attack that deals massive damage. She deals more damage to enemies that are equal to or less than her current level, with her damage increasing the bigger the level gap is.

Swordsman Akayuki

Akayuki is a Fire Warrior that can slash foes with her lightning fast attacks. She has high critical hit chance, making her an excellent warrior. Feiyan allows her to dash and slash and deal massive damage. Akayuki also deals more damage when fighting bosses, so bring her along if you need a boss shredder.

A Tier

Dragon Talon Clan Ranpang

Ranpang is a Basic Tanker hero who is a lot tougher than she looks! She prefers to go toe-to-toe with her foes using her wild claws, and she can taunt enemies around her by simply swiping at them. Rolling Dragon gives her extra damage by summoning a dragon to roll out on her enemies. She gets extra defense when she’s below half HP, making her able to stay in the thick of it.

Innkeeper Loraine

Loraine is a Basic Support hero that can heal and damage enemies at the same time. Her poisonous mushrooms will hurt enemies, and she can also heal allies with supplies from her picnic basket. Poisonous Mushroom Drop brings a giant mushroom down upon her enemies, making her a little more damage focused.

Leaf Fairy Aoba

Aoba is an Earth Support hero that can utilize the powers of nature to support her team. Her Fairy Bow lets her attack enemies with magic arrows, but she can also use it to fire healing arrows into her allies. She’ll always target the ally with the lowest HP and cleanse any negative effects. Purification Dew is the same thing but targets the entire party. She also heals the party more if she’s attacking water type enemies. She’s one of the best healers around, right up there with Karina.

Sniper Hekate

Hekate is an Earth Ranged hero that can pick off enemies from afar with her sniper skills. Her normal attacks penetrate through enemies, so she’s great if you’ve got a group of enemies lined up. Bullseye lets her fire wildly, dealing massive damage to anything that gets caught in the chaos.

Twin Fighter Lavi

Lavi is a Fire Tanker that rushes foes and beats them up in close-quarters combat. Using her gauntlets, Lavi can brawl with the best by taunting and leaping into her attacks. Take This! performs a heavy uppercut to a single target, dealing heavy damage. Her most crucial skill is her special ability Rock Stone, which gives her a 30% damage to cut any damage received in half. Rock Stone makes her incredibly tanky, which is useful in PvP!

Vampire Girl Karina

Karina is a Dark Support hero that uses black magic to hurt foes and heal allies. Her normal attack sends out bats to swarm the enemy, and all the damage they do is converted to healing for your party. Bat Storm is basically an AoE version of her normal attack that deals heavy damage and restores the party’s HP. Her special ability allows her to immediately revive, making her one of the best self-sufficient healers around.

B Tier

Twin Healer Favi

Favi is a Fire Support hero who heals and attacks using laser energy. He is the twin brother of Lavi, and while she prefers to fight, he’d rather support his team. Favi can fire off multiple bullets to deal damage, and he can also shoot rays of light at his allies to heal them. Healing Water Drop gives him a nice AoE heal that removes negative effects.

Scientist Sohee

Sohee is a Light Ranged hero that combines the powers of science and magic together. She fires high-powered lasers at her enemies using her Magiton Pack, and her Ghost Ejector launches vengeful spirits, dealing high damage and reduces light resistance.

Battleball Girl Rie

Rie is a Basic Ranged hero that attacks foes by hitting home runs straight into their faces! Her normal attacks hit baseballs towards opponents, and her Bat Swing deals moderate damage to anything caught in her bat.

From this point forward, we’ll be dealing with the bottom half of the tier list. These heroes aren’t necessarily bad, but when it comes to potential, damage output, and utility, they’re usually lacking in some area compared to the heroes above. Use these heroes if you have to, but consider moving onto different heroes when you can.

C Tier

  • Dragon Knight Shapira
  • Desert Mercenary Marvin
  • Dual-personality Maid Amy
  • Knight Captain Eva

D Tier

  • Dimension Traveler Catherine
  • Dragon Seeking Girl Neva
  • Engineer Marianne
  • Fire Dragon Girgas
  • Kung Fu Master Mei
  • Swindler Magician Dolf
  • Succubus Adventurer Yuze
  • White Beast

That concludes our tier list for the Rare heroes in Guardian Tales. Think a hero should be in a different place? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
