Guide to The Mysterious Will-o’-the-Wisp in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Once Paira starts to spot strange happenings in the wild, it means she has seen a will-o-wisp in the trees between Windswept Run and Nature’s Pantry. It’s up to you now to investigate the mysterious appearance.

In this article, we’ll be guiding you on how to complete the mysterious will-o-wisp request in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Paira is located across the pasture in Jubilife Village. Before you can accept this request, you must first claim Kleavor. Once you’ve done that, find Paira and talk to her. She’ll tell you about the will-o-wisp she spotted. You’ll need to go out of town and choose the Heights Camp as your destination in order to keep things simple.

Once you’ve arrived at the Heights Camp, head south down the mountain to where the marker appears on your map. From there, you’ll find a gigantic tree. A cutscene will start upon your interaction with the tree, where you’ll see a Chimchar hanging onto the top.

The Chimchar will jump down from the tree and attack you. You’ll have to fight it, but you shouldn’t defeat it. Paira wants you to catch it instead.

After you’ve captured the Chimchar, return to Jubilife Village and speak to Paira. Once she realizes that it wasn’t actually a will-o-wisp, but a Pokémon that’s behind her strange sighting, she’ll reward you with two experience candies.
