Hitman Game for iOS Is Hitman GO, a Board Game

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Back in September last year, we brought you the exclusive scoop on the fact that there was a Hitman game in the works for iOS. What we didn’t know was that the title of the game is Hitman GO and unlike the stealthy action series on PC and consoles, it will be a slow paced board game. Read on to find out more about Square Enix’ Hitman game for iPhone and iPad.

Described as a turn based strategy game, Hitman GO will have you navigating on a grid, trying to avoid enemies and take down your target. All the goodies you are used with from the Hitman franchise are present, like disguises, distractions, sniper rifles and even 47’s iconic Silverballers.

Taking the popular franchise for a complete revamp on iOS is clearly a risky and big move from Square Enix, but they can still capture the amazing feeling of a Hitman game even in a turn based strategy. And in the end, it’s all that matters when it comes to gaming.

We’ll get to see pretty soon what did Eidos Montreal cook up this time, as Hitman Go is expected to launch in the coming weeks on the App Store.
