Hogwarts Legacy has Plenty of Side Quests to Keep You Busy
From the trailers and gameplays we’ve seen of the game, we already know that Hogwarts Legacy will have many twists and turns as well as feature expansive maps and character creation that’ll enhance your experience with the game. We’ve also learned that the game will let you play more than 100 side quests in any order.
Speaking with GamesRadar+, the game’s narrative director Moira Squier stated, “The main storyline is complicated and engaging and involves a variety of different characters and viewpoints. But by giving the player choice moments throughout the game, we allow them to tell their own version of that epic story.”
In addition to playing through the game’s story, the decisions your characters make in the things they decide to do outside classes could also “manipulate the main campaign by virtue of the experiences they’ve had,” says Squier. “Interacting with someone in a side quest will impact how you interact with them in the main storyline – and vice versa.”
Squier went on to add, “The order in which the player chooses to complete these quests will impact their story and game. Everything is interconnected. So, while it was challenging, it was a lot of fun to do, and it’s rewarding to see how well it turned out.”
Having up to 100 side quests that are separate from the main story quests means more gameplay time but it also means setting you up for quite an ending. So it seems we’ll be spending a lot of time exploring the wizarding world after all.
Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam) on February 10, 2023.
