Honey, I Joined a Cult is a management simulator where you get to start your own cult! These management simulator games tend to have sizable modding communities, so here is everything you need to know about Honey, I Joined a Cult mods.
Can you Install Mods in Honey, I Joined a Cult?
Honey, I Joined a Cult is an open game that’s very similar to games like Prison Architect and Rimworld, where you are in charge of running a tycoon that grows substantially as you progress through the game. Eventually, your ultimate goal is to sacrifice cultists for occult magic, and earn the big bucks along the way!
These simulation games are always good candidates for modding support, so can you install mods in Honey, I Joined a Cult? Sadly, the short answer is no, Honey, I Joined a Cult does not have any mod support.
Honey, I Joined a Cult first released into early access way back in 2018. The developers laid a roadmap for the game, but mod support was never listed in it. We checked the Steam forums for the game and found the developers making some small comments about it saying that there are no current plans for mod support, but hopefully it can come sometime after the 1.0 release.
Unfortunately, it seems as though work on Honey, I Joined a Cult has halted for now. The last update for the game was released back in November 2022, and the developers have been radio silent since then. Now, we’ll never know if the game is planning to get mod support eventually, much less another content update.

How Mods could Improve Honey, I Joined a Cult
The entire premise of Honey, I Joined a Cult was practically built for modding. The developers have created fixed cults that worship some particular entity, but there’s really no option to create and customize your own cult, which seems like the biggest missed opportunity.
Of course, mods would help facilitate the creative side of the player community. Mods would help players create and design their own cults, symbols, relics, clothes, music, items, and so forth. You would probably even be able to create your own custom scenarios and behaviors for your cultists, adding another depth of strategy to the game. The fun of mods is that the sky’s the limit—anything you can imagine, you can create as a mod.
So, where do we go from here? Unfortunately, the future of Honey, I Joined a Cult is looking rather bleak. It’s never a good sign when the developers are quiet for this long, but hopefully things can get back on track later.
That’s everything you need to know about Honey, I Joined a Cult‘s mods. If you have any other questions about the game, let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned for more news.
