Honkai: Star Rail Beta Test Release Date Announced

MiHoYo, the developers behind the giant open-world adventure Genshin Impact, teased their next game earlier this month. Officially titled Honkai: Star Rail, this new game is the latest installment in their long-running Honkai series, which includes games like Honkai Gakuen 2 and Honkai Impact 3rd.

Honkai: Star Rail tells the tale of a group of travelers that journey through the cosmos aboard an interstellar train. The game takes place in an alternate universe based on Honkai Impact 3rd’s world, and you can definitely see some familiar faces in the reveal trailer.

Earlier in October, miHoYo announced that there would be a closed beta test later in the month, and they let interested people sign up for it. They’ve officially announced that the first closed beta test for Honkai: Star Rail will start on October 27th!

Since this is the first beta test for the game, there will be a very limited amount of accepted players. If you signed up for the beta test at the beginning of October, keep an eye out for an email from miHoYo.

Players will get to try out the new strategy RPG battles during the beta test. MiHoYo hasn’t said how long the beta is going to go for, but we’d imagine at least a few days. Keep in mind that all progress made in the beta will be wiped clean, so don’t get too attached yet.
