Honkai: Star Rail is an upcoming gacha-based strategy RPG title from Genshin Impact developers miHoYo, set in the Honkai Impact universe. From the initial impression, we can say that Honkai: Star Rail is a combination of both Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact.

Similar to both games, Honkai: Star Rail features—and will feature—a profusion of playable characters with different skill sets, roles, and abilities. Gameplay is going to be the main focus and strong point of Honkai: Star Rail. Team comps and strategically using a character’s abilities are the elements that will help you win fights.

While the impression of the game may change over time, the characters won’t. We have prepared a Honkai: Star Rail characters list that names every playable character revealed so far.

At the time of preparing this list, Honkai: Star Rail has revealed nine playable characters. Similar to Genshin Impact, the game will have a launch lineup—new characters will be released with future updates.

We will be updating this list after Honkai: Star Rail closed beta testing has concluded, granted we get information on new or existing characters.
