After Tencent finally brought the PUBG Mobile’s Season 16 update, the title received a ton of new additions to enhance the overall gaming experience. If you have read the patch notes of the 1.0 update, you must know that the latest update ditched the Server Selection option from the mode selection menu.
In other words, players will no longer be able to play PUBG Mobile on a different server from Season 16 and the region will be locked as per the user’s location. However, it’s still possible to change the PUBG Mobile server as the company has moved the Switch Server function to the System Settings menu. Here’s how.
How to change server in PUBG Mobile after Season 16 update
- Open PUBG Mobile and login to your account.
- Navigate to the Settings.
- Scroll down and locate the Select Server option in the Basic tab.
- Tap the Change option and select the server/region you want to choose.
- Hit the OK button and reboot the game.
Note: After changing the server, the region will be locked and you can’t change it again for the next 60 days (2 months).
As per the official patch notes, this new system has been implemented to ensure less network lag and a better gaming environment. Meanwhile, if you team up with a player from a different region, the game will allocate the best server to play on.
