These adventures are called Expeditions. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

How do Expeditions Work in Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX?

Expeditions are available in both Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX, but only at certain times of the year and if certain conditions are met. By sending your monsters on these Expeditions and completing them successfully, you can enjoy a variety of benefits. For this to happen, you will need to send out monsters with high Intelligence, which increases your chances of finding treasure, Power and Skill, which makes it easier for the monster to get past all sorts of obstacles.

In Monster Rancher 1 DX, you will be able to send monsters out on Expeditions only after reaching Breeder Rank C. Once this is done, your monsters will be able to accompany Karn on his adventures in January for the Titus expedition, in July for the Hartville expedition and in October for the Reno expedition.

Monster Rancher 2 DX also features three different expeditions, but the conditions to join them are a little more complex. In the first week of February, you can go on the Torles expedition, but only if you have achieved Breeder Rank C, and have a monster with 210 Life and 50 Fame. In the first week of October, you can go on the Parepare expedition if you have achieved Breeder Rank C and have a monster with 140 Life and 50 Fame. The last expedition, Kawrea, is available during the first week of June, and you can go on it if you have achieved Breeder Rank B and have a monster with 280 Life and 50 Fame. This expedition is also available once if you have achieved a Breeder Rank D.
