How Does the Clash Royale Chest Cycle Work

The chests you get from a battle are not offered at random and follow a well-ordered cycle. Supercell has come up with a technique to determine which chest to award to a player. The cycle starts the moment you enter the tutorial and get all four Wooden Chests. Even the first Silver Chest comes in early in the cycle is offered to you in the final tutorial battle.
Also, you can’t get more chests until you have at least one chest slot empty, meaning the cycle will stop if all your chests slots are full.

The chest cycle simply restarts from the beginning once any given cycle ends. There are four regular chest cycles, decided by your King Level. Like when in King Levels 10 and below, you’ll never get more than four Silver Chests in a row, meaning every fifth Chest, or less, will be either a Golden Chest, a Giant Chest or a Magical Chest, as these are the only Chests you can get at these levels.

There are even King Level Chests, which a player gets when his King Level increases. When you get to King Level 11, a small amount of Silver and Golden Chests are replaced with Gold Crates, Plentiful Gold Crates and Overflowing Gold Crates, and some Silver/Golden Chests are removed completely, trimming the cycle.
Here’s an image that explains the amount of each chest that one gets in each chest cycle. The percentage shows how many of that particular chests are earned in each cycle.
