If you include yourself, a total of four players can play co-op together in Elden Ring. This means that you can, at any given point in time, summon up to three other players in your game. You will need to connect to the internet to use the multiplayer feature in Elden Ring. In order to summon other players, you will need a Furlcalling Finger Remedy (which can be crafted with Erdleaf Flowers) to show all the Summon Signs.

Then, all you need to do is interact with a sign to summon another player into your map, but watch out for its color. If the sign is gold, you are inviting a friendly ally, but if it is red, you are inviting another player to a fight. If you like playing alone, you can always disable the multiplayer option by heading over to the Main Menu, selecting the “System” tab, then picking “Network” and setting the game to “Play Offline.”
