While the game doesn’t give you precise numbers for its base stats, you can see that the damage this weapon deals is pretty significant. This weapon is so powerful that the game pretty much wants you to obtain it so that you can face the final boss—it’s the only piece that will cause enough damage to the most powerful enemies and help you finish the game. And then, there’s also fusion.

Fuse Materials to Increase Damage

How much damage the Master Sword does in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom depends on what you fuse the sword with. You can fuse the Master Sword with pretty much anything so you may want to experiment a bit to maximize its potential. For example, if you fuse the Master Sword with a Blue Lizalfos Horn, it will bump up the weapon’s damage stats by 16.

In any case, there’s no denying that the Master Sword is powerful. Once we got it, we exclusively used this piece from that point. Besides great damage, it is also technically unbreakable—you can just deplete its energy, and it will need 10 minutes to recharge before you can wield it again. However, whether you want to try to get it as soon as possible or wait until the story takes you to it is entirely up to you.
