Minecraft has turned into the most popular game of all time, recently acquiring over one trillion views on YouTube. This sandbox game’s customizability and freedom of choice has really hit the right chord with gamers and casual players all around the world, leading to various different versions of the game being introduced, such as Minecraft Education Edition, or Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
For most casual players, the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft is the way to go. It’s easier to hop into, and is more stable than the usual Java Edition. It also allows you to play with other platforms, which is a real plus. Minecraft Bedrock is now referred to as simply ‘Minecraft’.
Minecraft Bedrock Edition has the most consistent performance. If you’re not playing with a high-end computer, Bedrock Edition might be your best bet. While the Java edition lets you use mods to enhance your graphics, the Bedrock Edition runs smoother, more consistently. This means less dropped frames and faster load times.
All this being said, Minecraft Bedrock Edition comes with a price tag. And if you are thinking of owning the game yourself, you’re probably wondering if the game will burn a hole in your wallet after your purchase.
How Much Does Minecraft Bedrock Edition Cost?
The Android version costs US$7.49, while the iOS/iPadOS version cost US$6.99. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions cost US$19.99. The Windows version costs US$26.99, and the Nintendo Switch version is the most expensive, costing US$29.99
There does not seem to be any differences between the versions of the game on various platforms, other than their performance, owing to the platform’s specifications and how well they handle the game.
