The main protagonist of Fire Emblem Engage is Alear, a member of the royal Divine Dragon family. They are asleep until the very beginning of the game, and their awakening kicks off the game’s main plot. Today, we’re here to answer the question: How old is Alear in Fire Emblem Engage?
Alear’s Age in Fire Emblem Engage
Discussing Alear’s age in Fire Emblem Engage is a bit of a tricky subject. When you start a new file in the game, you’ll learn that a 1,000 years ago, the world was attacked by the ferocious Fell Dragon.
To put a stop to the Fell Dragon’s rampage, the Divine Dragon family, led by the Divine Dragon Queen Lumera, utilized powerful artifacts known as the Emblem Rings. When a person wears the Emblem Ring, they may engage with the spirit of a powerful hero from ages past.
At the start of Fire Emblem Engage, Alear, also known as the Divine One, wakes up from their slumber. Chronologically, this would make Alear over 1,000 years old!

Of course, Alear doesn’t look a day over what a young adult would look like in the Fire Emblem universe, so this leaves their “actual” age up for discussion. The official Fire Emblem Wiki page on Alear claims that they have the physical appearance of a 17-year-old, and we’re inclined to agree with that.
On top of this, there’s a twist that comes about midway through the game that implies that Alear might even be older than we think. We won’t spoil it here, but you’ll know what we’re talking about when you get to that point in the story.
We hope that answers your questions about how old Alear is in Fire Emblem Engage. What age do you think Alear is roughly, in normal human years? Llet us know your thoughts in the comments below!
