Many Pokémon can evolve in Pokémon Go, which gives them a new appearance with enhanced stats and attacks. Normally, most Pokémon need a ton of Candy in order to evolve, but there are some that require additional steps, so here’s how to adventure together to evolve in Pokémon Go.
How do you Adventure Together with a Pokémon in Pokémon Go?
Under normal circumstances, Pokémon can evolved by giving them enough Candies. The amount of Candy you need varies between Pokémon, with some evolutions costing as little as 50 Candy to as much as 400 Candy.
Some Pokémon require additional things, in addition to their Candy. Some Pokémon need special Evolution Stones, while for others, you just need to spend some good old-fashioned quality time with them!
If you’re trying to evolve a Pokémon, and it says “Adventure Together to Evolve,” that means you need to set them as your buddy. To do this, tap on your Trainer portrait at the bottom left, and from there you’ll be able to set one of your Pokémon as a buddy.
When a Pokémon is set as your buddy, you’ll be able to improve your friendship with them, which grants additional bonuses. You can improve your friendship by walking with them, feeding them, battling with them, and more.
Open your buddy menu, and tap on either the Play! button or the Quick Treat button. The Play! button launches into a full AR experience, but if you just want to feed them, use the Quick Treat option. You need to feed a Pokémon either 3 berries of any kind or 1 Poffin in order to max out their hunger meter, which makes them start walking alongside you on the world map.
In the case of a Pokémon that needs to adventure together for evolution, you can now look in their information to see what you have to do next. For example, after setting Swirlix as our buddy, we found out that we have to feed it 25 treats.
The condition for each Pokémon that needs to adventure together varies between them, so check to see what you need to do for whoever you’re trying to evolve.
We hope this guide explained what it means to adventure together with Pokémon, and hopefully now you can start working towards evolving your favorite Pokémon.
