The further you proceed in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, the more powerful the enemies you have to fight will be. Their attack patterns become more complex as well, but your Champions learn new abilities as well, allowing you to counter pretty much every attack with the right abilities and party composition.
Among the enemies you will have to take down as you explore the Shadow Isles is the Corrupting Shadow. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
How to Beat Corrupting Shadow in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story
The Corrupting Shadow boss is fought during the Petrified Forest story quest, and it is a mandatory battle to proceed in the story. At this point, you are free to use every Champion in the game, but it’s a good idea to bring at least one Champion that can be a tank, like Braum or Illaoi.
The Corrupting Shadow’s attack pattern is relatively straightforward. Its main focus is to add stacks of Shadow Tendril to itself to unleash the powerful Shadow Assault, whose power increases with each Shadow Tendril. They are stacked automatically every two turns, or with the Rend Shadow attack.
To prevent Shadow Assault from killing one of your Champions in a single hit, you will have to make your tank take the hit, so Braum works great in this regard, due to his ability to raise a shield for both himself and the rest of the party. Illaoi, however, can also heal the party, so she can play double duty when needed. No matter who your tank is, when the Corrupting Shadow is near to reaching max Shadow Tendril stacks, taunt and start defending, and you will likely be able to survive the attack.
For the rest, have your offense-oriented Champions use their best abilities to deal as much damage as possible to the boss, and it will soon become history.
